Handle

The handle is used to grab and transport the fire extinguisher. The handle remains stationary when the trigger is pulled. The handle should be the only thing you grab the fire extinguisher by.

Safety Pin

The pull pin prevents the discharge level from being clamped down to prevent accidental discharge. The pull pin is generally protected by a tamper seal.

Trigger

The trigger releases the content from the fire extinguisher.

Hose

The hose is where the contents of the fire extinguisher travel from the cylinder to the nozzle, and it used to sweep the contents across the fire.

Nozzle

The nozzle is where the contents of the fire extinguisher discharge, and is what you should hold onto when sweeping the contents along the fire.
