What is Safework NSW
SafeWork NSW provides guidance on enhancing work health and safety by conducting investigations into workplace incidents, enforcing health and safety regulations, and managing licensing and registration for high-risk work, including certain positions in the construction sector.
In Australia, every state and territory has its own work health and safety laws. Safe Work Australia works on national policies to enhance health and safety standards and workers' compensation arrangements nationwide. It aids states in updating their laws, while also researching and analyzing workplace safety data. Look at the different service provided:

Purpose
Local councils offer guidance on work health and safety aspects concerning hospitality at events organized on council premises, like functions at town halls or outdoor festivals. However, councils are not directly responsible for overseeing work health and safety in businesses, whether small or large.
Professional associations can develop their own codes of conduct or voluntary professional rules. Professional associations help educate members. They maintain high standards and ethical behaviour. All codes and rules must comply with the Competition and Consumer Act 2010 and Australian Consumer Law.
Professional associations
Professional associations like the Australian Hotels Association or Restaurant and Catering Australia advocate for their member businesses on matters that impact them. By leveraging their influence, these associations engage in lobbying efforts with governments on various concerns, including work health and safety, to support small and medium-sized enterprises.
The Hornsby Shire Council overseas safety by providing regulations for businesses to follow. It then inspects businesses to ensure rules are followed. Click the link for some examples on compliance through Hornsby Council

The Hornsby Shire Council consists of a mayor and nine councillors who oversee Council affairs and represent residents. Council decisions are made at monthly meetings led by the mayor. The general manager manages daily operations, overseeing four divisions: Corporate Support, Community and Environment, Planning and Compliance, and Infrastructure and Major Projects.
