How to pronounce "Z" To make this sound we use the same position of the mouth and tongue that is used to pronounce the "S". The difference is that, while the "S" is said without using your voice, to pronounce the "Z" you do have to use it.Try pronouncing the "Z" now, making the "S" sound and adding your voice. You should feel a little vibration on your tongue if you do it right. Practice the sound in these examples:
