Kweisi Daniels Worms on Canvas 2024 Worms on a String on Canvas & Hot Glue Kweisi "Danny" Daniels, originally from Columbus, Ga, moved to Valdosta the at the beginning of fall semester 2023. I, Danny however didn't start classes until Spring 2024. I like anime, art, sleeping, and food. This artwork was created in the manic phase of my bipolar depression. Although I told myself I would submit anything, I was suddenly hit with inspiration by a fellow classmate wearing "Worms on a String" as earrings

Alexandra Lorenzo Epiphany 2022 Acrylic Paint Alexandra Lorenzo, a self-taught Mexican artist majoring in Psychology, aspires to capture the essence of her everyday life and the world around her. With her foundation built only on high school art classes and self-teaching, Alexandra's journey as an artist is a testament to both passion and dedication. Drawing from her Mexican background and personal experiences, Alexandra's artworks serve as a medium for self-expression and healing, delving into the intricate arrangement of human emotion and existence. Her vision extends beyond the canvas as she pursues to integrate art therapy into her future career as a child psychologist, utilizing creativity as a tool for diagnosis and emotional growth. Through her captivating compositions, Alexandra invites viewers to delve into a world where every stroke carries profound meaning, giving insight into the beauty of life's complexities from her eyes. In her works, such as "Hindsight" and "Epiphany", Alexandra explores profound themes of suffering, realization, and the delicate balance of sanity and madness. Epiphany captures the acute moment of realization or enlightenment, foreshadowing the gradual shifts toward insanity. By depicting the essence of human suffering, Alexandra challenges the viewers to confront the human mind's complexities and metaphorically portrays the eye as a window to the soul and a key to connecting with an individual.
