5th-6th grade readingIntroduction to Literary GenresAbby Smutny

Directions & Objective

  • The purpose of this activity is to explore common book genres using an interactive bookshelf! Your objective is to be able to understand and describe each genre.

  • On the interactive bookshelf, you will find an array of books. There are eight buttons for you to click on, which will reveal the information about the genre of each book.

  • You will take notes of the name and definition of each genre, including one example. This can be an example from the slide, or one of your own.

  • Happy learning!

This is what the interactive elements will look like!
