Meet Microbes

what are microbes

Microbes are tiny living things thar are found all around us and are too small to be seen with the naked eye. They live in water, soil and in the air. Some make us sick, others are important for our health. The most common types of microbes are bacteria, viruses and fungi.

Meet the microbes

<1%

Only a small handful of known bacteria are capable of causing disease. These bacteria are termed pathogenic.

>99%

Our bodies are home to an estimated 100 trillion “good” bacteria, many of which reside in our gut. Without bacteria, the earth would have no soil in which to grow plants

Bacterias: GOOD OR BAD??
