WONDER ABOUT THE SEA OF FOG

Wonderer about the sea of fog is an oil paint 1818, by Caspar David Friedrich. It is considered one of the masterpieces of the Romanticism.

In the foreground, a man is shown from behind, on a dark rock. He wears a dark green suit and leans on a stick. With his air disheveled by the wind, the traveler looks at the landscape hidden by the fog.

In the background you can see other rocky precipices similar to the one the traveler is on. The fog, in this painting, covers the entire landscape.

Threes and forest can be glimpsed in the fog.
