As we can see from the graph, in countries like Norway, where the GNI per capita is high, the literacy rate is high as well. This is because a high GNI indicates that the country is wealty and that there is a high level of education since people can afford to study. On the other hand, in other countries such as Gambia, there is a lower GNI and literacy rate because the government can't guarantee education for all people. However, there are also some countries like Uganda that have a low GNI but a quite high literacy rate. Usually it is because education is often prioritized by the government as a means to develop the economy of the country.
