Course Description: In a context where relating is indispensable for any action, doing it strategically and intentionally makes the difference for any professional. Therefore, strengthening links with those who are our audiences by informing, persuading and inspiring them, generates a superior trust that translates into movements in favor and loyalties towards people or organizations that go beyond reason. This course will provide students with a series of tactics and tools that will make it easier for them to establish relationships with their internal and external audiences; then establish a plan for each one and act on them, to finally go for them within their own contexts. These tools range from brand building, the generation of news, the realization of an event, social responsibility, the generation of strategic alliances, label and protocol, as well as the care of the institutional, public and personal image. Cesar said: "The wife of Caesar not only has to be honest, but she has to look like it." The image is proportional to opinion and reputation, it is important to possess virtues, but also to appear and project them. The student will learn the power that relationships have and how strategic elaboration leads organizations and professionals to greater positioning, favorable exposure of their brand, and care for their reputation. Course Description: The variety of tools in statistics, machine learning, predictive models and decision-making is a source of confusion and bad practices in its application. In addition, the easy use of statistical computing programs that allow us to build data-based models with little or no previous analysis, leads us to find reports and articles that show a low quality of model predictions and negative impacts on decision-making. This class presents a paradigm for the proposal and validation of models with predictive capacity and their application to problems. The focus of this class is that of generalized linear models, presenting a common theoretical framework for regression and classification problems. The simplicity of these models allows the parameters to be interpreted, and they show that the parametric estimation is reduced to a convex optimization problem. *This class requires knowledge in Bayesian statistics.
