Friction tracks

Lightweight & strong

Designed with friction tracks to create friction between the stairs and the chair to slow down the descent, allowing for a controlled journey.

Evacuation chairs are made up of lightweight materials, which are also strong enough to hold a high amount of weight.

Adapt and store

On level ground use four wheels to operate it as a wheelchair. When not in use, can be folded flat and stored neatly on the wall.

Purpose of an evac chair

There are many different types of evacuation chairs available.

Evacuation chairs provide mobility impaired people with a safe and comfortable way to evacuate a building in the event of an emergency.

They are specially designed for individuals who are unable to use traditional staircases or escape routes during emergencies.

An evacuation chair should be used to descend stairs only. It can also be used on level ground, but never to ascend stairs unless specifically designed for that purpose.
