- Weather is always changing, it could be sunny, stormy, warm, cold ...
- Climate is the average long term conditions in one place and it changes over very long periods.
- Today the term "climate change" commonly refers to global warming.
- Climate change and weather are often discussed topics. Reflecting on the history of the Earth of about 4.5 billion years, we recognize significant climate changes like the Ice Age and the Mesozoic era .
- Over the past hundred years, the Earth's temperature has increased by 1.33 degrees Fahrenheit.
- The Earth is wrapped like a greenhouse, but it's covered by a layer of atmosphere. The greenhouse gases in the atmosphere trap the heat from the sun, so that the Earth gets warmer and warmer. Thesse gases, mainly composed of carbon dioxide, methane and nitrous oxide act like a blanket for the Earth.However, it is important to prevent the blanket to be excessively hot.
what causes climate change?
- fossil fuels, natural fuels formed over the course of millions of years from dead plants and animals. When they burn, they release toxic gases in the atmosphere.
