DYNASTY MING AND QING

The Ming Dynasty, ruling China from 1368 to 1644, was a period marked by cultural brilliance, economic expansion, and impressive achievements in arts and sciences. Founded by Zhu Yuanzhang after overthrowing the Mongol-led Yuan Dynasty, the Ming period saw the construction of the Great Wall, the development of porcelain craftsmanship, the voyages of Zheng He, and the publication of the renowned novel "Journey to the West." However, internal corruption, rebellions, and external threats weakened the dynasty, ultimately leading to its downfall.

The Ming Dynasty

Following the collapse of the Ming Dynasty, the Qing Dynasty emerged in 1644 and continued until 1912. Led by the Manchu ethnic group, the Qing Dynasty expanded China's territorial boundaries, reaching it´s peak under the rule of Kangxi and Qianlong. The period was marked by significant cultural achievements, economic growth, and the establishment of the examination system, but also faced challenges such as the Opium Wars, internal rebellions, and foreign encroachment. Eventually, mounting internal issues led to the downfall of the Qing Dynasty, culminating in the establishment of the Republic of China

The Qing Dynasty

The conflict between the Qing and Ming dynasties was a significant period in Chinese history, known as the Ming-Qing transition. The Ming Dynasty, reigning from 1368 to 1644, faced internal challenges, rebellions, and economic instability. In 1644, the capital, Beijing, fell to a rebel force, leading to the suicide of the last Ming emperor, Chongzhen. Taking advantage of the turmoil, the Manchus, led by Li Zicheng, entered Beijing, establishing the Qing Dynasty. Shunzhi became the first Qing emperor, marking the end of the Ming era and the beginning of Qing rule over China. This transition not only changed dynastic power but also profoundly influenced the historical and cultural trajectory of the country for centuries.
