Outside, on the lawn, a sound did arise, I rushed to the window, a sight before my eyes. A small sleigh and eight reindeer with might, I knew it was Santa, bringing joy in the night. Down the chimney, he came in a quick dash, With a sack of toys, ready to make a splash. His eyes twinkled, his cheeks rosy and merry, A jolly old man, spreading cheer, oh so cherry. He filled the stockings with gifts galore, Then up the chimney, he went, ready to score. With a wink and a nod, he bid his adieu, Spreading Christmas joy, as only he knew. And as he flew off, to his team he did whistle, "Merry Christmas to all, and to all a good night!"
