SAFETY
Individuals without a stable living situation are particularly vulnerable to traffickers. Individuals who are experiencing homelessness and seeking shelter may fall prey to false promises of a safe place to stay. Traffickers exploit the need for housing, forcing victims into exploitative situations under the guise of providing a stable home environment.
Vulnerabilities
The need of shelter.
Traffickers are skilled at identifying those who crave love and companionship. They manipulate emotions, posing as romantic partners, stand in parents, stand in older sibling or aunt and uncle, who provide the emotional support and connection the victim yearns for. Once trust is established, traffickers use emotional bonds to control their victims, making it difficult for them to break free.
VULNERABILITIES
The need of love.
Traffickers often target individuals facing financial hardships. Whether it's due to unemployment, poverty, or overwhelming debt, the promise of quick and substantial income can be tempting. Traffickers exploit this vulnerability by offering false job opportunities or promising financial stability, only to trap victims in situations of exploitation.
VULNERABILITIES
The need of money.
Individuals vulnerable to traffickers often yearn for acceptance. Traffickers capitalize on this by pretending to be friends who offer companionship and a sense of belonging. After gaining trust, traffickers exploit the need for acceptance, manipulating victims into exploitative situations.
Vulnerabilities
The need for acceptance.
Individuals experiencing insecurity due to economic hardships, conflict, or personal crises are particularly susceptible to traffickers. The promise of a stable and secure environment becomes a powerful lure, leading victims to trust traffickers who claim to provide the safety they crave.
Vulnerabilities
The need for safety.
Traffickers may provide immediate relief by offering food and water to those in need. This seemingly benevolent gesture can create a sense of indebtedness and dependence on the trafficker, making it easier for them to exploit the victim later.
