HyPOTESIS

03

He analysed the data and checked whether his hypothesis was true.

EXPERIMENTATION

04

He was right, the cowpox was a curate of smallpox

ANALISIS

05

CONCLUSION

To test the hypothesis he needed; cowpox , fresh smallpox and a human guinea pig.

OBSERVATION

Edward Jenner observed that a women who worked milkingcows contractacted cowpox seemed to be immune to smallpox.

Whether a person can be immunised against smallpox by contracting cowpox disease.

A little bit more of Edward Jenner

Was an English physician and scientist who pioneered the concept of vaccines and discovered the smallpox vaccine, the world's first vaccine. The terms "vaccine" and "vaccination" are derived from "Variolae vaccinae", the term devised by Jenner to denote smallpox. He used it in 1798 in the title of his "Inquiry into the Variolae vaccinae known as cowpox", in which he described the protective effect of cowpox against smallpox.

Observation

1

For years milkers were called pretty for not having a single chickenpox mark on their face as it was observed that when cows had cowpox and milked them they contracted the disease and that seemed to make them immune. Edward observed that when milkmaids milked milk from a cow with cowpox, they would get small blisters on their hands and arms because they contracted the disease and realised that it looked similar to normal smallpox.

Jenner's hypothesis was that cowpox and smallpox were related so that he could use cowpox against the lethal one to cure a person. He repeated the process many times and the results seemed to be positive and his experiment valid.

HYPOTESIS

2

Jenner's hypothesis was that cowpox and smallpox were related so that he could use cowpox against the lethal one to cure a person.

CONCLUSION

5

Lorem ipsum dolor sit

Jenner realised that smallpox could be cured with vaccine smallpox, which was the beginning of the creation of vaccines, named after his discovery.
