Branches of the Government

  • The Vice Presidents responsibility of the United states is to be ready to take the role of the President, if they were sick or couldnt perform. The Vice President gets elceted by running as the partner to the presidential candidate.
  • The President is responsible for the execution and enforcement of the laws created by Congress, to be a President they must be atleast 35 years old, and have lived in the United States for 14 years, The President is aloud 2, 4 year terms.
The ExecutiveMembers
The Executive branches power can Be found in Artical 2, section 1 in the constitution.
The Executive branches power are
  • Carry out and enofrcing laws
  • Making treaties with foriegn nations
  • Act as comander in cheif of the armed forces and,
  • Appoint certain important government officials

The Executives Powers, and Responsibilities

The Senate has 100 senators. They are chosen by Legislators and there are 2 for each state with a term of 6 years. To be a senate you have to be:
  • 30 years old
  • Been a U.S citizen for atleast 9 years and,
  • Residents of the state they are representing
The House of Representatives consists of 435 members, Every 2 years a new member is elected but they must be:
  • 25 years old,
  • Been a U.S citizen for 7 years and,
  • Is a resident of the state the represent.

The LegislativeMembers

The Legislatives powers can be found in Artical 1, section 1 in the constitution
The Legislatives powers are:
  • able to declare war
  • To confirm or reject Presidential appointments and,
  • Responsible for annual budget

The Judicial Branch is responsible for interpeting the law and the constitutionality of the federal laws and resolves other disputes about federal law.

Powers and Responsibilities
Members
The members of the judicial branch are, the Supreme Court. There are 9 Supreme Court Justices, which are nominated by the President, they hold their office until they pass away, resign, or are convicted by congress
