Even though slavery was a thing in Bexar County, even some chose to denounce it such as the Germans and Mexican Americans. They stated it was against America's democratic ideals.
This graph shows the percentage of slaves compared to the slaveholders job.
Slavery in Bexar country was never much of an investment. San Antonio was more urbanized meaning that the need for slaves wasn't so high.
