One of the curiosities about Chopin is that he was born near Warsaw. His birth is attributed to March 1, 1810, although in the baptismal record he appears born on February 22, 1810. His mother was a piano teacher and his father was a piano and violin teacher. He moved to Paris in 1831, and quickly established himself in musical high society.
