Write Polynomial Equations

Use Zeros to Write Equations

2

Using the zeroes/roots/solutions/x-intercepts of a polynomial function, we can write the factors, then multiply and simplify to find the polynomial equation in standard form. The zeros of the function are -2, 3, and 6. Write the polynomial function of least degree with these zeros. The factors must be (x+2)(x-3)(x-6)Multiply them to get (x -x-6)(x-6)Mutiply again to get x - x -6x - 6x + 6x + 36Combine like terms to get x -7x + 36 = 0
