HOW CAN WE IMPPROVE CITIES?

Basically we can improve our city by taking care of it, trying to recycle and reuse things to generate as little waste as possible, we must also use public transport to pollute less, we should also try to create more green spaces by planting trees in empty places and we could also use walls where plants can be planted. Finally we need to try to go to the less populated cities to avoid the high density of population.

GREEN ENERGY

The way we obtain energy is one of the main ways that we pullute the environment, so in the future energy will be cleaner.

Thermal power plants will all be closed, because this is one of the worst ways to obtein energy for our planet.

Nuclear power plants will also be all closed due to the great risk their wastes pose.

Traditional renewable sources will still be used because they are quite clean, but they won´t be the most used energy.

The energy obtained withe the combustion of hydrogen will be the most used energy in the entire world, due to its efficience and cleanliness. It will bring a lot of new methods of trnaports and cheaper energy.

TRANSPORT

All transport methods will be powered by the hydrogen energy. Traditional cars will have disappeared and electric cars will be the most used transport method. For long distance travel the hyperloop will be really useful, due to its high speed and efficience. Planes will all be hypersonic and travels will be really shorts and comfortable.

NEW INVENTIONS

There will be a series of inventions and technological advances that would transform the way we live and interact with our environment. Some of these inventions can be:

GREEN AREAS

Green areas will be essential in the future for several reasons, and their importance lies in the benefits they bring to health, the environment and quality of life in general. They offer us spaces for exercise and relaxation, contribute to biodiversity, filter pollutants from the air and are places to socialize. Some ways to secure these areas are:

What are the buildings going to be like?

As our city want to solve the high population density problem, buildings will cange in order to do it.As nowadays we are getting less and less space, our city of the future will have a new type of building based on skyscrapers.In each one almost 1000 families will be able to life. In there, they will have common spaces, like cinemas, parks, restaurants in order to get fun.These buildings will help providing energy to the city as they are make with a material that transfers the solar energy.There will also be buildings like this for people who come to the city, so travelling to our city is an option.

Our idyllic city and its advantajes

Our idyllic city of the future will have, as we have said green zones, new ways of transports, buildings, ways to get energy...For all this, the main advantages are:- We dont polute or we polute less than we did in the past, thanks to the way we move, we get our energy...- New inventions will make our lifes easier, more fun...- As it will have developed new types of buildings, high population density, noise wont be problems.- In general, everything will be better.In conclution, our city of the future will be perfect, it could be difficult to reach, but in a distant future, it can become a reality.

Some of the consequences of traffic in big cities are the increase in the cost of living, environmental and acoustic pollution, crime opportunities, higher probability of traffic accidents, the decrease in labor productivity, mental problems such us stress or anxiety and other health problems.

We will design green spaces that encourage biodiversity by planting a variety of native species and creating diverse habitats.

Driverless cars and buses that move autonomously. We wouldn't need to drive, so we could do other things instead of driving and we will have more time for those things.

Due to the large number of people living in cities, pollution increases due to waste, means of transportation, industries, etc. This generates great consequences such as the formation of "smog" fog formed by polluting smoke and also accumulation of waste that can end up in the seas. Problems like this increase the risk of respiratory infections, heart disease and lung cancer in the population.

The scarcity of green areas in cities makes the air quality worse, the risk of flooding is greater because there are fewer permeable areas where rainwater can filter, the biodiversity of both animals and plants is seriously harmed and inhabitants have a worse quality of life, since it has been shown that green areas in cities improve mental health and reduce depression, they also improve pregnancy outcomes and reduce mortality rates.

Integrated Virtual and Augmented Reality:

The existence of too many people causes all the problems mentioned before, pollution, excess traffic, etc. In addition, the unemployment rate increases, the price of housing rises and the quality of life get worse.

Integrate the design of green spaces from the beginning into urban planning, reserving significant areas for parks and green areas.

Sustainable Urban Planning

Noise pollution in cities can have devastating long-term effects on people's physical and mental health, and poses a growing danger to public health. If it is a constant noise, it can cause respiratory agitation, accelerated pulse, increased blood pressure, and headache.

We will educate the community about the importance of green spaces and encourage environmentally friendly practices, such as the responsible use of green spaces.
