Avoid being triggered by opinions. The group will be respectful. Avoid taking rebuttals personally.

Respect Diverse Opinions

Allow everyone to make their point.

Counter arguments and rebuttals are part of group discussions.

You cannot be assessed unless you say something.

Say Something

Don't be afraid of speaking.

Think of this as a normal conversation between friends.

All interactions in the group discussion should be civil and polite. Avoid raising your voice, there will be opportunities for all participants to make a contribution.

You are not in competition with each other.

Treat others with respect.

Express your ideas with confidence and conviction.

Be Confident

Speak clearly.

You are speaking amongst peers; be unafraid.

Make a mental note of what is being said. Try to think through the implications of different assertions.

Concentrate on what is being said.
