MNPS Faculty PD Content Creators Quarter 3 Meeting

Create a Lego model with the blocks in your bag that illustrates our Faculty PD initiative from your perspective. Be ready to explain your model to a colleague.

Welcoming Ritual

With nearby colleagues, please discuss one or more of the following questions:

  • What commonalities did you note in comparing your model with your peers' models? What differences? Why do you think that was the case?
  • Given your models and discussion, what "grade" (A-F) would you give the initiative, AND what would be the constructive feedback you'd give to improve the grade?
  • Was this an effective Welcoming Ritual? What did or did not make it effective? What would you change for next time?

THANK you!

Have a great rest of the week!

  • Participants will form groups of 3-5 members.
  • With your group, you will move to a chart and spend about 4 minutes discussing that topic. You may add drawings, key words, questions, etc. to the chart paper.
  • When time is called, all but one group member will move to the next chart.
  • The group member selected to stay behind will greet the next group and briefly summarize their group's discussion. Then, that group member will rejoin their original group.
  • When time is over for the second chart, a different team member will stay behind while the other group members move on.
  • Repeat until all groups have visited each chart.
  • Group members will return to their original chart to analyze the larger group's responses.
