The rat and rabbit
Since both the rat and the rabbit have similar body structures and diets their respiratory system’s should consist of two lungs ,trachea and bronchi, the rabbit will have a mouth, esophagus, a stomach, a liver and gallbladder, and a pancreas, small intestine, large intestine, rectum and anus, like the rat has. The rabbit is non hermaphroditic and has either ovaries or testes and has internal fertilization and live birth once again like the rat which has those structures.
differences of animals
The rat needs heat for its metabolism digestion, and reproduction, heat is used for reactions in the body the occur because of heat so it would not move or react as fast if it was cold blooded. and since it's surface area to mass is high it loses a lot of energy to the environment at a high rate which would turn the rat into a sun bathing creature which heightens its chance of getting eaten.
Rat and perch physiology
So we can examine macro organisms and see the relationships between them and how they are similar to different species and clades. I have learned many things from this dissection about different digestive systems and structures. The same can be said with reproductive structures and nervous systems. I also learned more about actual dissections and how to do them properly and cleanly.
why dissections are apart of bio 182

All animals have complete digestive systems, all animals have chambered hearts except the earthworm. Circulatory all animals have closed circulatory systems except the crayfish and earthworm. Digestive the rat and squid have more complex digestive systems including gallbladder, large intestine and small intestine, and a liver as well, same with the perch.
