The color blue is meant to symbolize a peaceful environment and is said to be the opposite of the traditional color red, which often represents war and the lives lost during war.

The olive branches symbolize peace, while the map represents all the peoples of the world. White and blue are recognized as the official colors of the UN.

The color palette of the emblem consists in blue and white. They have a double function: they symbolize the sky with clouds and denote the founding organization, because the official colors of the United Nations are blue and white.

The olive crown has two meanings. The first is the distinctive sign that was awarded in ancient Greece as a reward for a victory. The second is the symbol of peace that came to us from the Bible.
