Funding
Internationalisation Abroad
A work placement can be programmed into the curriculum either as an elective or as a mandatory course unit. The modalities mainly stay the same, although there are a number of additional points to consider in case of a work placement abroad. Among other things, the minimum duration has to be respected for the student to be eligible for funding.
How?
An international work placement takes place at a relevant organisation (a company, an education or research institution, ...) abroad. This type of work placement creates opportunities to hone one's professional skills in an intercultural/international context, and has a positive influence on the student's personal and professional development. In other linguistic contexts, there is the added value of strengthening one's foreign language skills.

Student Mobility for the Work Placement
In the Master of Science in Denistry, the students can do part of their mandatory internship at clinics and education institutions in seven different countries.
Student Mobility for the Work Placement
The Faculty of Engineering and Architecture stimulates its students to embark on a practice-oriented work placement at home, or abroad. Depending on the contents, duration and work placement opportunities in the curriculum, the work placement can be included into the curriculum and rewarded with credits.
Student Mobility for the Work Placement
In the Master of Science in Business Administration all the students take the mandatory Management and Informatics Work Placement course unit. The work placement takes place at an external company or organisation, four days a week. On the initiative of the Master's dissertation supervisor, the work placement and the Master's dissertation can be linked.
