Battle of Gonzales

- The Mexican gave a cannon to the Texans for protection against Native American-Mexico realized it was unwise and wanted back-The Texans refused and fired apon army when marched over-Texas won the battle

Fun face-the women off the battle feild made a flag that said "Come and take it" encouraging the determined Texans fighting

Battle of Goliad

-Took Place March 27 1836- 50 Texan soldiers defeated 30 Mexican soldiers- Texas gained military supplies and morale--This played a big part in Texas revolution

Battles in San Antonio

- Mission conception Oct 28 Jim Bowie, Andrew Brisco, and james famin all attacked Mexican forces Near San Antonio-Grass fight November 26 1835 Texans ambushed Mexican supplies while wanting to steal silver had to steal grass instead-Final battle December 5th Milam led attack on San Antonio Mexican surrendered -Texans felt very bold about the revolution at this point because they won everysingle battle in San Antonio

The battle of the Alamo

- Houston ordered to destroy and abandon the alamo-Travis, Bowie, and crockett chose to protect the Alamo before the army came--When the army came they were surronded but they kept on fighting willing to die as a soldier then run-Many Texans were captured or killed

Burnet appointed as the presidant of the ad interm government of the Texas republic government

-Large sections of the U.S constitution along with some of Spanish and Mexican laws were put in-every person in this U.S has the right to life and happiness -the government has to listen to its own people-Many laws were about the basic rights of people

-Texans burned and fleed their homes-The Texans headed to lousiana-Santa Anna was headed to Texas trying to take it back-The people who were caught during the Alamo were shot and killed like pirateds

Battle of coleco creek

-Fannin delayed leavine-when they were attacked-Attacked near Coleto creek-Being surronded they had to surrender making Mexico win

Goliad Massacre

- This happend near Goliad-March 27, 1836 is when it took place-This was a very bloody battle 400 were killed-Fannin and his troops were all exacuted

Battle of San Jacinto

- This is the final battle for the Texas revolution-Santa Anna kinda let his gaurd down after winning the Battle of the Alamo-Houston led a surprise attack on Santa Anna in the morning when some of the military was still sleeping or drinking coffee-The battle only lasted 18 minuted due to the surprise they surendered and captured Santa Anna

Treaty of Valisco

-When Santa Anna was captured they let him live on the condition of signing the treaty-Santa Anna ended up signing it declaring Texas independance-The first treaty said the war ended and declared Texas independant with the Rio Grandae river as the border- The second treaty said Santa Anna's release form prison in exchange for Texas Indpendance recognition
