Each Class will create their city (digitally or physically). Each group in the class will be responsible Creating and Showcasing a particular aspect of the city.
The year is 2024 and the North American continent was recently discovered. We are from a technologically advanced society with cell phones, cars, electricity, pollution, etc. Recently a group of around 120 families decided we want to move west to discover this large continent. We will be settling in an area west of a relatively small river. There are lakes that exist, although not natural. The thinking is that the natives to the continent or…. possibly aliens…. constructed the lakes in the area and they are connected by creeks and flow into the river. We will need to farm the land for food. Luckily the nearby lakes and river will serve as our water source. We will need to learn about the physical geography and climate of our region. Our goal is to set up a sustainable small city. We will learn what we need to know as we go.
