The Princes in the Tower refers to the mystery of the fate of the deposed Edward V and his younger brother Richard, heirs to the throne of King Edward IV of England. The brothers were the only sons of the king by his queen, Elizabeth Woodville, living at the time of their father's death in 1483.

The fallen angel

REMBRANDT - My Own Art Gallery

Lucifer's eyes seem to have noticed, the viewer watching him, which adds to the feeling of shame Lucifer presumably feels. Surrounded in red, the eyes also appear in the midst of anger and madness, but which also hide Lucifer's immense sadness after his eternal exile from Paradise (in fact, a tear comes from his right eye and runs down his face).

is a famous painting by Alexandre Cabanel, created in 1847 and currently preserved in the Fabre Museum, in Montpellier. The painting portrays an angel who has just fallen from heaven after being cast out by God, and therefore considered par excellence to be Lucifer.

The angel presents beauty, features and perfection in the muscles typical of classical Greek art, in fact the only "positive aspect" of Lucifer often highlighted by the literati was his beauty.
