The Declaration of Independence specified complaints against King George III and included the American Colonists' motives for wanting to seek independence from Great Britain. The Declaration of Independence gave Americans freedom and put forth the idea that all men were created equal.
Republican Motherhood called women to teach republican values within their families. Women also sought to expand their roles in society and politics
Meeting of delegates to form a sepearate government from Britain. They established an army and George washington was the leader. Gave the colonies' the intention to want to be fully independent from Britain.
These were the first battles of the American Revolution and are commonly referred to as "The shot heard round the world." These battles persuaded many Americans to take up arms and support freedom/independence.

With the new treaty enacted, the US gains their independence from Britain. The US boundaries also extend from west to the mississippi river, border Canada in the North and Spanish Florida in the South.
Battle that gained the Americans independence from Great Britain. With the help from the French, Washington forced the British to surrender,
Colonists suffered from clothing and food shortages and 1/5 of soldiers died from diseases and famine. Washington recieved help from Germany and France to train the troops.
The Battle of Saratoga was a turning point in the revolutionary war. This battle perusaded France to ally with the Patriots.
