Life during the Paleozoic Era started with the big expansion of the Cambrian Explosion. Then, vertebrates came to be and began to evolve and spread. Over time, they ventured onto land as they developed more. The very earliest ancestors of the mammal were roaming the Earth by the end of the Paleozoic Era.

The World And Life

During the Paleozoic Era, the Cambrian Explosion occurred. This event caused a huge diversification in underwater animals and overall evolution. This Era started with that event, along with its high sea levels and warm atmosphere. In the middle of the Paleozoic Era, the carbon dioxide levels dropped and tree systems started to spread more. Towards the end of this time, Pangaea began to form and many new geological features were created as a result of the colliding continents.

Events

• This time was when a ginormous amount of trilobites existed, but they got wiped out by an extinction event.
• The Hangenberg Crisis got rid of about 21 percent of all marine invertebrate
• North America was located close to the equator during this Era.
