Around 54 million years long

The climate was wet and humid, which allow for many different types of life to thrive, including birds, sharks, plankton, and most famously dinosaurs. Not only were animals evolving and thriving, plants were able to adapt into different species due to the humid climate. Since there was more availible land to be inahbited by species, animals were able to thrive and reproduce abundantly. The jurassic period ended due to a metiorite that crashed onto earth which caused a ass extinction.

The brachisaurus weighed over 80 tons The jurassic period started due to a mass extinction know as Triassic-Jurassic event, which killed 50% of life speicies. Scientistics regard birds as being the only surviving dinosaurs. As for insects, a new type of species arrived known as lepidoprta, commonly knows as butterflies or moths.
