Write a second act that picks up where Act I left off. This act should be about 2 pages and written in play format. Your plot must be interesting and connected to Act I in a way that makes sense. You must include a setting that affects the plot. Your dialogue must reveal information about each character in line with how they were portrayed in Act I. Finally, your stage directions must shed light on some aspect of the act.

  2. Draw an outline of that character.
  3. Draw a symbol for the brain. Beside it, describe him or her in 2-3 adjectives.
  4. Draw a symbol for the heart. Beside it, record what he/she values, dislikes, and loves.
  5. Draw a the mouth. Choose 2-3 pieces of dialogue that demonstrate what you said about the head and heart.
  6. Draw the feet. Choose 2-3 stage directions that help reveal these things about the character.
  7. At the bottom of your paper, below the feet, answer this short constructed response question using the ACE format: How do all of these aspects of the character contribute to the plot? Use elements of your character chart above to support your response.
