Parts of an Apple
Apples are small round fruits that grow on trees. Apples are good for cooking, baking, and making into juice and cider.
Skin or peeling- where all the nutrients are. Apples can be many different colors and color patterns.
Flesh- the part you eat!
Leaf- collects sunlight through photosynthesis, which makes the apple tree grow big and strong enough to grow apples.
Seeds- plant these to grow new apple trees!
Core- the middle part of the apple that holds the seeds inside.
Stem- holds the apple on the tree while it grows. The stem allows the tree to provide food and water to the apple.
