Unfinished actions Focuses on the duration of the action. Actions started in the past and still continues in the present. Shoter situations. Indicates how long something has been happening.
It is used for finished actions that may repeat in the future. permanent action, something that usually happens. focuses on the results of the action. we can already see a result at the moment Indicate "how much" or "how many" have been completed.
