After the war of the Roses endend in 1485 Henry VII became the first Tudor king of England.Henry introduced high taxes and banned nobles from raising their own armies, but he still had to deal with Yorkest plots againts him, he was often helped by the kings of Scotland or the Irish.

In 1496 Henry VII he sponsored John Cabot to explore eastern America and planted the the Tudor flag in Nova Scotia

He brought the Humanism of the Renaissance to the University of Oxford and Cambridge. Henry VII married his son and Heir to the Aragonese heiress Catherine and two of his daughters equally well to the kings of France and Scotland

Henry VII passed when he was 1509 and he left England economically stable and at peace with France and Scotland

Elizabeth I reign is considerd Englands golden age, this age was an age of stability , religious toleration and victory at sea.She recived many proposals but conciderd marrige as something that is dangerous and when the parlement pressed het to get married she replied: "rule and die a virgin" and for this she was nominated "virgin queen"

Elizabeth encouraged her sea captains to explore new lands and to go and search for treasures. Multiple captains traveled all around the world in search of gold and slaves.

In 1586 Spain was preparing an Armada to invade Britain. Philip II wanted to bring England under the rule of the Church of Rome. The Spanish armada set sail in 1588 it was the most serious navel attack on England since the vikings. The English ships were faster and better armed than the Spanish ones. The Spanish lost a third of all their ships and many of their men.

In 1603 Elizabeth I died saying that James, the king of Scotland, son of Mary, should succeed her

Mary I, daughter of Henry VII and his first wife, she declared her self queen and wanted to restore catholicism in England. Mary married Philip II of Spain thanks to this they were able to become allys against France.In 1558 Mary became sick and left the throne to her sister Elizabeth

Henry VII succededhis father, He was intrested in many things and one of these was Theology and when Luther naild theanti-Catholic theses to the door of the caste church, Henry then wrote an attack on Luther which won him the title of: "defender of faith" from the pope. Henry increased the navy from five to around forty ships.

Henry had the pope declare his first marriage invalid because Cathrine gave birth to a daughter, Mary, and not a male heir; the pope refused so the king divorced and then married Anne Boleyn who was pregnant but then she also gave birth to a female who then was named Elizabeth

He was named the supreme head of the church England; Henry's religious revolution extended to Ireland and Wales and with this, temporal and religious powers were joined in the figure of the monarch. Monastic chapels turned in to parish churches

Anne Boleyn was imprisoned on charges of treason and then was executed in 1536 and after the execution king Henry married Jane Seymour who was able to provide him with a son who was named Edward but sadly died in childbirth. After his third wife Henry had other three wives; the sixth one, Cathrine parr had great intellectual influence on Prince Edward and Princess Elizabeth

Edward became king at the age of 9 due to his fathers death, the young king passed due to consumption in 1553 but before dying he had named his protestant cousin, Lady Jane Gray< ah his succesor but after nine days she still was not crowned and she was taken as prisoner to the tower of London
