What places did we visit during the trip to Italy?
It is the capital of the Tuscany region in Italy. The city is a cultural, artistic and architectural jewel of Italy and is listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site. The birthplace of the Italian Renaissance.
01
This city is located in the north of Italy on the Adriatic Sea. Numerous monuments come from the heyday of the Venetian Republic. The city is considered one of the most valuable assets on the UNESCO World Heritage List.

The "Eternal City" is the capital and the largest city of Italy and the Lazio region. This famous city of the Seven Hills, as a center of power, culture and religion, has had a huge impact to the world during about 2,500 years of its existence.

Sightseeing Florence*
When we finally arrived at sunny Florence, after spending the whole night on the coach, we couldn't wait to explore this majestic city.We met our guide at the Holy Cross Square near the Basilica of the Holy Cross (Basilica di Santa Croce) - one of the most important Franciscan temples in Italy. Then we visited the famous Ponte Vecchio Bridge and the Santa Maria del Fiore Cathedral- the undisputed pearl of Florence.
Sightseeing Florence part 2
After walking along the Arno River that flows through Florence, we crossed the bridge to the other side of the city. Next, we went up to Piazzale Michelangelo to enjoy this breathtaking view. From here you can see the entire panorama of Florence. It was definitely fantastic experience for me to see it.

We started our tour of the whole city at the Colosseum. Our second guide told us stories related to the Colosseum or the Triumphal Arches of Roman emperors, their rise to power and life achievements. After that we went to the Forum Romanum - the ancient center of the whole world. Then we visited the Pantheon De Roma in Piazza della Rotonda where we could try some Italian cuisine or buy souvenirs. At the end we were improved by the Trevi fountain - the most famous baroque fountain in Rome. It is such a magestic building. Throwing a coin in it is supposed to bring good luck.
Visiting Rome
The next day our destination was mainly the Vatican City, so around noon we were in a huge queue to the St. Peter's Basilica. After a long time, we finally admired magnificent interior, sculptures, frescoes, paintings and tombs of the popes. After exploring the Vatican City, we had a break for some snack and then we went to Fontana dei Fiumi that represents 4 rivers - Nile, Danube, Rio de la Plata and Ganges. The last point of our Roman trip was the famous Spanish Steps, in Rome.

To be able to discover the architecture of the historical centre of Venice we had to take a ferry to the island. The whole cruise went very quickly, because we were surrounded by beautiful views. When we arrived at the island and met our guide, we started the tour from the Doge's Palace - entitled to the rulers (highest officials) of the Republic of Venice.
Exploring Venice
Then we went to the St. Mark's Basilica - an ancient temple with gilded domes. That church looks stunning inside. After that we walked around St. Mark's Square, we went along the picturesque Venetian bridges from island to island. Later we visited the Statue of Carlo Goldoni - an Italian comedy writer. Nearby was the Ponte di Rialto, a 16th-century covered footbridge of ornamental stone over the Grand Canal, lined with shops and restaurants. When we returned to the hotel, we exchanged photos and admired beautiful views and famous places that we visited in the three Italian cities.
Exploring Venice part 2
I think this trip had a positive impact on my English language skills. Being in another country whose native language I do not know, motivated me to use English in everyday life situations, such as ordering food in a restaurant or asking the price. I am also sure that it contributed to breaking down my language barriers. Thanks to this, it will be much easier for me to start conversations with a stranger or ask for directions, etc. I am really satified that I had the opportunity to develop my English skills, which will definitely be useful for me in the future situations.I had an unforgetabletime in Italy. It was adventure of a lifetime for me!
