Lily was hoping to find a cute pet at the store. She had saved much money and was excited. The store was busy, with many animals jumping and making noises. As Lily walked in, she heard a bird tapping on its cage with its beak. She thought it was funny and smiled. Lily saw two rabbits. One was hopping around, full of energy, while the other was calm. "That one is cuter!" she said, pointing at the playful rabbit. The shopkeeper warned her, "Be careful. This one is a biter." Lily decided to keep looking. Next, she found a puppy that was cuter than any other animal in the store. The puppy licked her hand and wagged its tail. She knew this was the pet for her. As she paid, she noticed a cutter on the counter, used for opening pet food bags. The shopkeeper asked if she needed help taping the box closed, but Lily said, "No, thank you! I will carry my new friend myself." On the way home, the puppy kept tapping its paw on her hand, as if it was thanking her.
