Exposition is the background information on the characters and setting explained at the beginning of the story; sets up the story
Conflict is a struggle or problem a character in a story must overcome.
Rising Action is a related series of events in the plot of a story that build toward the point of greatest interest.
Climax is the most dramatic or intense point of a story, play or movie; the turning point in the story where things start to change.
Falling Action is action that happens right after the climax of a story, where the tension decreases.
Resolution is the conclusion of the story by the resolving of conflicts between characters.
