Diego Armando Maradona

Diego Armando Maradona (Buenos Aires, 1960 - Dique Luján, 2020) Argentine soccer player, one of the greatest in history, often compared to the legendary Pelé. Although his skill with the ball and his refined technique matched that of the Brazilian, Maradona's career was much more irregular: his difficult character, health problems and drug addiction marred part of his career.

Maradona's mother was called Dalma Salvadora Franco and his father was called Diego Maradona, his brothers were called Raul Maradona and Hugo Maradona and his 5 sisters were called Rita, Elsa, Dolores, Ana Maria and Milagritos Maradona.

His professional career spanned 21 years, between 1976 and 1997. He played seven years at Napoli, the club that enjoyed it the most, and just 5 games at Newell's Old Boys in 1993. Throughout his career he played 679 games and scored 345 goals . In Argentinos Juniors he played from 1976 to 1980.
