Gender Equality

For Women's day in high school, as part of the week of equality between girls and boys, the Lycée Maurice Utrillo pays tribute to great female figures. Classrooms and offices have been renamed in their honor . These women have marked history, throughout the world, in their fights for equality between men and women and for the respect of fundamental freedoms. They continue to inspire current generations!

It opened its doors in new premises in September 1990. It welcomes 1,151 pupils and 59 students, supervised by more than 150 adults, including around a hundred teachers. It is a multi-purpose high school (general, technological and professional education) which also offers training in BTS Management of Commercial Units.

Our School outings

1st outing With our history teacher and Spanish teacher we went to the cinema to watch “His Girl Friday” it is an American film directed by Howard Hawks in 1940. It belongs to the genre of goofy comedy. The film tells the story of a journalist who comes to see her former editor and ex-husband to tell him that she is getting married to an insurance agent. Jealous, he tries to send her on a story to save time and get rid of the other suitor.

With our history teacher and Spanish teacher we also went to the cinema to watch “Women on the Verge of a Nervous Breakdown” (Mujeres al borde de un ataque de nervios), a Spanish film directed by Pedro Almodóvar and released in 1988.

2nd outing

The film follows the story of Pepa, a voice actress who has just been dumped by her lover and partner, Iván. A series of incredible events ensue with the arrival of several characters such as Iván's son and his fiancée, a friend distraught by her latest crush on a terrorist, and Iván's wife armed with a revolver. The film was an international success and won several awards.

With our main teacher and our Spanish teacher, we went on a trip to Paris in the Latin Quarter and we visited several places, The Museum of the Middle Ages. Place Saint Michel and flea market.Rue Saint-André des Arts.The Carrefur del Odeón and modern cinemas.The Street of the Faculty of Medicine.La Rue de la Cinémathèque and classic cinemas.The Sorbonne University. The Pantheon in Paris.The Jardin du Luxembourg (and its sports facilities) The Odeon theatre.

3rd outing

Two days of baccalaureate at Maurice Utrillo high school

In mainland France, the specialty written tests are scheduled for Monday 20, Tuesday 21 and Wednesday 22 March 2023. Consult the dates and times of the tests by discipline. The philosophy tests are scheduled for Wednesday, June 14, 2023 in the morning.1Specialty education aims to train students in the fields of literature, philosophy and human sciences. This specialty offers a literary and philosophical approach to major cultural issues and personal reflection through works.
