Elvis Aaron Presley was an American singer and actor, considered one of the most popular cultural icons of the 20th century. He is nicknamed "the king of rock and roll".
He was born in Tupelo, Mississippi, but when he was thirteen years old, he moved with his family to Memphis, Tennessee, where he began his artistic career in 1954 when the owner of Sun Records, Sam Phillips, saw in him the way to spread music. Accompanied by guitarist Scotty Moore and double bassist Bill Black, he was one of the originators of rockabilly, an up-tempo, upbeat-driven style that is a fusion of country music and rhythm and blues.
Elvis won different gold, platinum and multi-platinum awards thanks to the sale of his records.
He was nominated 14 times for the Grammy Awards, where he had three victories.

Priscilla Presley is an American film and televison actress and businesswoman. She rose to fame in 1967 , when she married the American singer and actor Elvis Presley, whith whom she had an only daughter.
