AVID Sophomores make college chalk squares!

We took our learning outside in the sun! We created chalk squares of the colleges students are interested in, the majors they would like to pursue and future career options!

AVID Juniors Host a College Fair!

The AVID juniors worked on a college reserach project, created displays and presented a mini college fair to all of the AVID middle school students! The middle schoolers voted on which presentation & dosplay they liked best and the Univeristy of North Carolina was the winner!

AVID Kickball Celebration!

We celebrated a fun year of AVID with some outdoor kickball games and treats! Students played a freiendly kicknall game, ate popsicles and had pop in the grass to end the year!

AVID 9 Wraps up the year!

As the end of the school year nears, AVID 9 students took the opportunity to reflect on how they have changed and grown throughout the course of the school year. Students followed the writing process to develop a reflective paper. Many students discussed how they have matured, placed an increased focus on doing well academically, and improved their time management skills.Almost all AVID 9 students will be staying in the AVID program next year and are looking forward to continuing to grow and develop as a person and student. This is a fantastic group of AVID students and we are excited for what the next 3 years of high school and beyond hold for each of them!
