Poland, officially the Republic of Poland (in Polish Rzeczpospolita Polska, is a country of Central Europe, one of the twenty-seven sovereign states that form the European Union, its capital is known as Varsovia

Introduction

The creation of the nation is often identified with the adoption of Catholicism by its monarch Mieszko I in 966, when its territory was similar to that of modern Poland. The Kingdom of Poland was formed in 1025, and in 1569 cemented a long association with the Grand Duchy of Lithuania.

4.Zakopane is a city located in southern Poland, with approximately 28 000 inhabitants (2004). It belongs to the Lesser Poland Voivodeship. The city, which is known as the winter capital of Poland, is located in the southern part of the Podhale region, at the foot of the Tatra Mountains.
