We sought to emphasize the creative and collaborative aspect of our work, encouraging students to work together, develop their artistic talents, and explore various forms of expression to bring Renata's story to life. By focusing on Renata's incredible journey, we also aimed to align our project with the goals outlined in Agenda 2030. These goals include promoting sustainable development, gender equality, quality education, and strong institutions. Renata's commitment to her community, her fight for women's and children's rights, and her unwavering dedication to preserving the natural beauty of Porto Selvaggio perfectly embody these shared values and aspirations. Throughout this collaborative project we all delved deeper into the script, exploring the captivating story of Renata Fonte and the profound impact she left on her community and the hearts of many.

Our collaborative etwinning project, titled "etwinners behind the scenes" has been inspired by the real story of Renata Fonte who was " A Brave Woman with a Great Heart."It is an inspiring and thought-provoking endeavor undertaken by our 5 European school communities. It aimed to achieve several important objectives, fostered a creative and collaborative spirit among the students, and embraced the shared values of our educational institutions. One of the primary goals of our project was to highlight the remarkable achievements of Renata Fonte, a remarkable woman who exemplified strength, compassion, and dedication.Throughout this collaborative project, our school communities aimed to inspire and educate students about the importance of bravery, compassion, and social responsibility.

MAYOR Good afternoon, today we are here to make important decisions about Porto Selvaggio. Before starting I want to hear your ideas. RENATA Good afternoon, sir. I strongly oppose the idea of building a holiday resort in Porto Selvaggio. This area is a sanctuary of natural beauty that should be protected and preserved. It is the home of diverse plant and animal species, and destroying it for the sake of profit would be a terrible mistake. SPAGNOLO This is nonsense, it is the ideal place to build a holiday resort. Hundreds of tourists will come every summer and winter and that way we’ll have a lot of profit. OTHER POLITICIAN A resort would be fantastic! Imagine all the visitors and workers… we have to make sure that our city earns money…that means that we will also earn a lot of money! We’ll be rich!

RENATA Being rich shouldn't be our only concern, we need to preserve the natural environment of Porto Selvaggio! It is a natural treasure that holds intrinsic value beyond monetary considerations. Have you ever thought that tourists might specifically come to Nardò to appreciate the unspoiled beauty and tranquillity it offers.

COUNCIL MEETING drawing made by the Spanish pupils from Pamplona

MAYOR I think that Spagnolo’s idea is great. Building up Porto Selvaggio will bring a lot of money. It means that lots of people can work there, so many families will be better off. SPAGNOLO Of course my idea is great. In fact, we must start cutting down trees and building immediately. We’ll make tons of money. Renata, stop complaining. Forests, animals, nature muahahahaha. It all means nothing if you have no money. Stop being silly Renata RENATA You shouldn’t laugh at me like that, you are in no way right. Although I strongly disagree with you. Your focus is solely on money, but life is not just about wealth. Life is about good health, preserving natural beauty, and enjoying the wonders of our surroundings. OTHER POLITICIAN I think that the majority has spoken up! We should listen democratically, so Renata… Keep calm and earn money!!! HahahahahhaSPAGNOLO (to RENATA) Shut up alreadyMAYOR Calm down everybody! Stop shouting! It’s late, we are all tired. Let’s go back home. We’ll decide what to do at our next meeting.

CRIMINAL 1 Are you ready? CRIMINAL 2 I’m ready, yes. And are you? CRIMINAL 1 … Mmhhh. It’s a woman. Is it the right thing to do? CRIMINAL 2 Well we never killed a woman, should we do it? But we must do it, we need the money, they are going to pay us 20.000 euros for killing her. And when is she coming home? She is very late.

CRIMINAL 2 Oh my God. Look at the hour. It's late! (Enter RENATA. She speaks aloud about the meeting. )RENATA What a long and intense day! But at least, it is not decided yet…so I hope that they reflect on what I said and decide to preserve Porto Selvaggio… CRIMINAL 1 Let’s load the guns! CRIMINAL 2 I’m so nervous, what about you?.
