Small intestine

it is a long tubular structure in the abdomen that is responsible for approximately 90% of nutrient absorption.

  • Elimination of waste from the body (defecation).

the large intestine

It is the thickest portion of the intestines and is responsible for absorbing water and minerals, as well as forming feces from food waste and eliminating it from the body.
