Tokyo's global impact There is not an extreme impact this city has on the globe as a whole. Yes, it is very dangerous and hot, but the affects of Tokyo itself doesn't spread and harm the entire world that badly. Tokyo has some of the worst affects of climate change, but if Tokyo completely fixed their problem, the global average wouldn't even have a noticeable change.

Other places that have similar climate change. Big cities such as New York, Chicago, Beijing, and London all have really bad climate change mainly due to the amount of cars that are driven around. The gas emissions in the city are very high, and the pollution is dangerous. It keeps it extremely hot in summers, but Tokyo is the worst due to its population being so large.

The region around Tokyo The region is in a rough spot, because the emissions in the city are enough to pollute and heat the areas around it. The heat isn't trapped in between buildings at least, but the surrounding area is still very hot. By the water is dangerous as well because of the water level rising. It's very similar to the city of Miami.

Efforts to combat climate change A goal of Tokyo's is to achieve zero emissions by the year 2050. This would have a big impact on lowering climate change. By having no gas emissions, the air will be much cooler and safer for everyone. They are also trying to contribute to the United Nation's sustainable development goals which should help stop the crisis of climate change.

Impact climate change has had on Tokyo There are extensive heat waves, and summer are said to be extremely uncomfortable. The dangers are rising for the city of 14 million people. Heat waves have doubled since the year 1979. The increase in temperature in Tokyo is three times that of the global average.
