The battle of bull run was lost by the Union. The battle was won by the Confederate. The battle was on June 21, 1861. In the beginning of the battle the Union was winning and then Stonewall Jackson Started to fight. Then the Union had to retreat. But there were civilians that wanted to watch the battle and when the Union was losing the civilians ran and got in there way. That is how some of the Union soldiers died. BATTLE OF BULL RUN

The New York city draft riot happened because they were mad there was a draft. The people in the riot killed multiple black people because they blamed them for the draft. The people in the riot were mostly Irish-Americans. This riot is the most racially charged riot in the history of America.

This battle took place in Virginia. It was won by the Confederate. The union was sneaking around a u guarded confederate state. They made the Union retreat

Vicksburg is the battle over the Mississippi river. The Union won and took control of the Mississippi river. The Union wanted the river so they could be able to ship valuables. It was a 47 day battle.
