Auxiliary Verbs(Helping verbs)

Do you remember them?

Auxiliary verbs (helping verbs) are used along with a main verb to express tense, mood, or voice.

Examples:

• Do you know where is the Cinema?
• They are buying some food.
• She should take a nap.
• It has been raining all day long.
• We will watch a movie later.

And pay attention to how the auxiliary verbs are used.

Discussion time!

You have 10 minutes to prepare what you want to say.You must speak for at least 2 - 3 minutes.

- What is the most interesting part of the movie?

- Why do you like this movie?

Try to convince your classmates to watch your favorite movie, by talking about:

- The actors who play your favorite characters

Let's practice!

Separate the students into smaller groups and give them enough time for everyone to speak.In the groups, they share their favorite movie with their classmates.

Show time!

When the student finishes, he/she can decide who speaks next. At the end, discuss which, of all the mentioned movies, you would watch.

The teacher set the timer for 2 minutes. Choose the first student that is going to talk about the movie.
