Charles Dickens
Charles Dickens was a British writer born in 1812. He came from a poor family and had to leave school to work in a factory. However, he later became a journalist and then a successful novelist, writing famous works such as "Oliver Twist" and "Great Expectations". Dickens was also an advocate for social justice and used his writing to bring attention to issues such as poverty and inequality. He died in 1870, leaving behind a legacy as one of the greatest writers of the Victorian era.
