MATTEO
Poverty in the Central African Republic is mainly due to 4 reasons: •lack of EDUCATION: half of the population is illiterate a and this means less chances of finding a paid job • lack of drinking WATER: there is still no access to a source of safe drinking water and this leads to an increase in diseases •HUNGER: there are many underweight and malnourished people • GENDER INQUALITIES: women do not have the same rights as men, in fact they only have to stay at home to look after their children.
FOUR MAIN PROBLEMS
In the country, devastated by ten years of war, young people and children live daily with stress, fear and the psychological trauma caused by the violence they suffered. With the persistent deprivation of basic rights such as health and education. In the Central African Republic, going to school is either too dangerous or too expensive and only 49% of children complete primary education.
MARIAVITTORIA

GIULIA
POVERTY
An Emergency Food Security Audit finds that half of the Central African Republic's population of nearly 2.5 million people are suffering from hunger. One in six people in the country is battling severe malnutrition, while over one in three people are malnourished and don't know how to get their next meal. Not only do people not have enough food, but what they consume is of poor quality.
